A Few Factors to Consider about Outdoor Display Screens
Outdoor display screens for advertising or events come in standard sizes or can be custom-made for your particular needs and some of the options to use for outdoor display include cloth screens, PVC screens and LED screens. You main factors to consider, however, are quality and affordability as both can vary greatly.
Outdoor Advertising
Outdoor display screens can be affordable for outdoor advertisers. With the expense of some alternatives, new technology has made them more energy efficient and less costly than some other forms of advertising. Screens can be either front or rear projected, and mounting options allow you to display at a height best suited for the event and venue.
If a stage is present, some outdoor display screens do not require a backdrop. If multiple screens are needed, technical assistance is available to set up and take down the screens and sometimes with operating equipment during the event. Other uses for outdoor display units include concerts, awards ceremonies, movies, fashion shows, charity events, and fundraisers.
Check the weather
Be sure to check the weather forecast before the event date as available daylight can affect the visibility of the outdoor displays. When possible, try to place the screen where the sun will have the least impact on visibility, because sunlight usually has the worst effect when it is directly shining on the screen. If the sun is right above or beside the display, attendants will also have difficulty looking at the display.
Some outdoor display screens, such as LED screens, are less affected by the sun and other lighting considerations than some other options. The quality is directly related to the price, so do research before making your selection.
Footage
Outdoor display screens can be used with either live footage or pre-recorded footage. The method of input is also a consideration for the visual quality of the presentation. Sporting events are excellent venues for outdoor display screens as they can use live footage and updates of games and help offset production costs by bringing in advertising revenue. Most events can offset the costs of audio and video equipment by selling advertisement spots before, during and after the event or presentation.
